Our History

From the Vision of a Man
Deeply Rooted in His Land

In 1956, Giuseppe Borsari founded the company in Nonantola after working as a sharecropper alongside his father. Initially, the business focused on trading straw and hay, transported using a former American military truck. Through dedication and a forward-looking entrepreneurial vision, Giuseppe expanded the business by investing in new vehicles and entering the forage trading market, operating across Modena and Cremona.

  • 1960s – 1970s

Growth and Expansion of New Services

During the 1960s and 1970s, Borsari strengthened its market position. The company began working with sugar factories in the Emilia region, transporting and trading sugar beets. In 1977, Borsari started managing the valorisation of wet pulp, a by-product of sugar beet processing.

  • 1980s

    Expansion, New Products and Warehousing

The entry of the second generation into the business drove expansion across Northern Italy and product diversification. The company began trading sunflower meal, cottonseed and soybean hulls, consolidating its presence at national level. Investments in owned warehouses became a key driver for future growth.
